"Oh shoot..." Prism huffed as the basket of laundry she was trying to levitate decided to shot up into the air and send her aunt's clean sheets and towels to scatter around her in the neatly kept grasses. The basket then... Dropped right down on a blond maned head. "Ow!" she squeaked and tripped backwards with another squeak. Bright silver flecked blue eyes peeked up from under the basket, Prism sighing as she got back to her hooves and straightened up. Her horn glowed, the basket lifting and setting itself on the ground. She looked around and hung her head, her long mane shifting forward with the movement, the long strands up in a pair of bunned up pigtails to control the length.
"I'm never going to get this right," she whispered in a bit of a sniffly voice as tears formed in her eyes. She then shook her head and refused to cry and she started to walk the yard, gathering clothing the earth pony way with no magic. The last thing she needed was to blow up her aunt's belongings. She was lucky her aunt took her in. Prism wasn't exactly.... the best mare to have in a herb and potions shop. She was a huge klutz and tended to just knock things over or crash into them. Prism set another piece in the basket and looked down at it with sadness. She bet her mother was happy not to have her destructive self in Canterlot any longer.

How long has it been since he had last been about pony society? He couldn't quite recall the last time. Not that it mattered too much. Heart String was arriving into a new town with new ponies to meet. He pondered a moment as he gazed at the town ahead. How long was he going to stay in this place? He usually kept moving from place to place so often that he had begun to start planning just how long he would stay in a particular place before moving along to the next location.
His hooves lightly made noise upon the ground. This place was Ponyville located not too far off from Canterlot. It is a peaceful village comprised mostly of friendly ponies, but a clash of the breeds were there, unicorn, pegasi, and even earth ponies. It's always nice seeing ponies reside with one another. Heart entered from the west side of the village. His pace was calm, but the look on his face easily spoke tired. He had been traveling for quite some time and hadn't quite had the chance to properly rest. His raspberry red coat was slightly dingy, his sky blue mane lacked the shine it normally had. Even his neck piece looked to be a little dingy.
Heart saw ponies left and right as they proceeded through town. Each all looking busy and pleasantly happy with their surroundings. He smirked as he enjoyed the sight. Ponies here and there gave him a glance over, but mainly because they never seen him around before. What even had caught their eye was the lack of a mark upon his flank, but their questioned stare was more of a 'did i really just see that?'. It wasn't too long before Heart came across something that seemed to have stuck out of the ordinary, well ordinary from what he had noticed. In the distance a mare with the lack of a smile. Shifting his sky blue eyes left and then right, he settled his focus back towards the saddened mare. Trotting up with concern. "What seems to be the matter?"

Prism had the urge to kick the basket, but that wouldn't do much to help her. But she was frustrated with herself, and tired of her magic doing random bursts and disturbing what she was originally doing. Like simple levitation.. Look what happened. And yet that was pretty normal for her. She was so focused on berating her own abilities that she didn't hear another pony approaching her as she stood in the side yard of her aunt's home and shop. So... The sudden voice.. Spooked the poor mare, sending her jumping up in fright with an "Ah!"
Magic gathered up in her scare and then 'poof' she was gone and another 'poof'.... A squeal would come from above as a milky white body tumbled down. If the colt did not catch what was happening in time... Both would end up tumbling over one another and ending up in a heap. "Ow...."

It seems that his sudden vocalization has caused an unexpected reaction within the mare. He blinked as he noticed that she was gone and it took him a second before he realized where it was she had appeared, but that second was a bit too long for him to react to what he needed to do...which was move. As the fates would have it Prism had fallen on top of the poor unsuspecting colt below her and since he wasn't braced he fell to the ground along with her. He was pressed to the ground against his belly and his legs spread outward. "Ow..." he groaned as he coughed a moment and tried to catch his breath.
He struggled to get up against her weight and was having a little bit of a difficulty getting a correct footing. "ergh...would you be so kind as to get off of me?"

And.... She landed on the colt. They tumbled to the ground. It.. Hurt. But then she was use to hurting herself so it wasn't too bad, even as she teared up out of pure reflex. She was sprawled out on top of him as she shook away the stars from her vision, not allowing the tears in her eyes to fall. She had done it yet again. She was such a klutz and now she had hurt someone else in the process.
Prism Moon scrambled back and off only to tumble backward and land in an ungraceful heap. She peered at the colt with the raspberry coat. Her eyes widened and she shoot to her feet, nearly stumbling. She bowed her head repeatedly. "I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry," she repeated several times before. "Ow!" she yelped, having banged her nose against the ground. She lifted a hoof up to rub it and looked at the colt sheepishly. "I really am sorry..."

With the mare off of him, Heart was able to get back up to his hooves. It didn't bother him so much since it was an accident. It did hurt to have a pony land on you, but eh. What can you do when it happened out of the blue. Not like it was done on purpose. Her shook a moment to try and shake the dust off of himself, well as much as he could get off with just a shake. Looking to the rather frantic apologetic mare Heart Strings cocked a brow. Shaking a single hoof at her in the left to right motion. "It's quite al-" He blinked when Prism had suddenly hit her muzzle to the ground. Heart String could only nervously smile and rub the back of his head with his hoof. "It's alright, don't worry about it. I was the one that spooked you in the first place, I should be apologizing."
Bringing his hoof back to the ground, Heart looked at Prism. "I am curious about something though, which it brings me to the reason why I trotted over here."

She lowered her hoof, the tip of her nose just a touch pink along with a dusting along her cheeks. "No need to apologize. I get lost in my own world sometimes and forget the world around me," she replied with a bit of a giggle then got quiet. She blinked at him as he said he was curious about something. Her tail lifted a bit, insuring the long strand fell over her blank flank. Many had sometime just trotted up to her and asked how old she was to still have no cutie mark. It hurt her feelings that that was the only reason some ponies would come up and talk with her.
"Oh. What is it?" she finally asked after a moment.

From where he had trotted in from he hadn't noticed that she didn't have a cutie mark, but then again he considered himself quite the gentlecolt to be looking at anyponies flank. He looked around himself towards other ponies around ponyville and then back to her. Well, my question is this, why is it that everypony here seems to appear quite pleasant and cheerful, yet here you are looking as though you're on the verge of tears? Did I just trot into some backwaters pony society where things only appear to be happy yet it really isn't?" He looked around again and narrowed his eyes. "Should I be aware of the villagers here? Are they some sort of cult that lures in new ponies to their home and brainwashes them?" Obviously he wasn't from around here. He's never been to ponyville, so he knew not a single thing about it.

Prism slowly blinked and her head tilted to the side slightly, her hair leaning with the movement. What in the name of Equestria was he talking about? A cult...And wait! He had seen her almost crying. Prism felt the tops of her cheeks grow hot with embarrassment. She was such a cry baby and many around were use to it so they didn't bother with it... So this Foal was new in town and clearly had not been there long enough to know anyone.
Prism brought her hoof up and snorted a quick laugh into it. Her mother would have fainted with how unladylike it was. THen the snort turned in a melodic laugh. It took her a moment to quiet and she peered at him. "I was upset that my magic went haywire again and sent the laundry all over the lawn," she finally said to him. "I'm... Uh.. A bit of a crybaby. At least that's what everyone has called me before," she added, her blush darkening even more as she admitted to her childish habit of hers. "I'm sorry I got you worried. But there are no cults within these parts. At least.. None that I know of. Everyone is nice... In a way."

Heart String could only smile as he took notice that Prism had began laughing herself. Clearly he must have said or done something funny, but no matter what it was, he was happy that she didn't look sad anymore. He snickered himself and kept his own laugh minimal and quiet. "Well that's unfortunate being a cry baby, but it's good to know that there isn't any cults around. Though I must ask, are you ill or something for your magic to get out of control like that? You're a Unicorn a mare at that, not a little foal. I mean...My apologies, I should be asking such questions." He quickly caught himself trying to pry into something that may have not been his business. It just utterly confused him for a Unicorn of this age to be poor at doing magic. "Maybe it's just not your type of magic?" he quickly offered a possible answer to her magic going haywire. He caught onto her using the word again and presumed it happened often. "Unicorn magic is weird that way, it's so moody and tends to do thing on its own."

She rubbed the back her head with her hoof. It was a bit unfortunate that she was a cry baby, but she was trying to grow out of it. She was nearly an adult now and had to stop being such a little filly. But old habits die hard in a sense. Sometimes she just teared up and didn't mean to. She lowered her hoof back down and peered at him as he spoke, her head tilting in the other direction. She had a look of curiosity as she peered at him. She was use to meeting new ponies, but Ponyville tended to be pretty quiet when it came to new comers. Most people headed to the other major Pony cities. Ponyville just wasn't.... Filled with excitement in a sense. It was very down to Equestria and it was something Prism loved about the place.
Her brow furrowed as his words sunk in and she looked over at the basket that nearly had all the laundry back in it. "It just.. Acts up. My aunt says I have a lot of magic and at times it like to try and come out all at once. I'm still trying to stop that. But sometimes I slip up and forget to balance it and.. WHAM!" she made a dramatic movement with her hooves as she peered at him, her eyes widening for effect as well. "I either blow something up, send it flying.. Or.. I somehow make it vanish. I do find it later but its honestly a pain in the hind quarters."

Heart String held a concerned look on his face as he listened to her. His ears twitched to the words she said. He glanced at the ground and thought to himself. It could just be an abnormal build up within her? Well I'm not really the right unicorn for the task all I can say is on my own experience with my magic. A soft sigh escaped from him. "That sounds very unfortunate. It can be difficult to control, I remember when I was a little foal my own magic use to act up every time I sneezed. Something would get teleported or break apart or even transform. Least...that's what my mother told me, I don't remember it too much. He felt bad for the mare who seemed to have her own troubles with her magic. He really wasn't able to do much of anything other than offer suggestions. "Have you tried to just expel out your magic? Expel out just enough that it could be manageable until you can fully handle the output you're having?
