Hi, My question - would it be better to have the babies/youngstock in the hilly or flatter lot for the time they are confined (about 1/2 acres a piece)? They are in the flat lot right now, but I wondered if the hills would be beneficial for development and muscling (these are hills now, some are so steep I have to "mow" with the weedwhacker). The horses amaze me in there now, run up and down them like they were raised in the mountains. I've kept the babies out of their fearing they might torque a joint/pull something, etc but they seem so lazy and inactive in a normal flat rectangle - they would likely move more, get more exercise in the other area. Thoughts? I didn't find the right solution from the internet. References: www.chronofhorse.com/forum/forum/discussion-forums/sport-horse-breeding/62235-hills-vs-flat-for-foalsgraphic videos
